Wm. Marc is another example of an incredibly gifted but humble man. He described himself to me as a “hack” once, and then I realized he wasn’t being self-effacing. He’s just a really hard worker.

@akhila - Marc is a clear example of a 40 something who is doing what he loves. You don’t have to be “young” to do what you love, all you need is a supportive family and a young heart.

Yea I know, “do what you love” is way overused, but I still think some people need to let it sink in. Money is required in life, but weekend and 7pm - 2am on weekdays is plenty of time to do damage.

For young people, it’s easy to say ‘do what you love.’ We don’t have families or children or mortgages or retirement to worry about. When you get older and start having to deal with all these things, I doubt you’d have time on weekends and nights to do the things you love. If you’re not doing what you love for a job by the time you’re in your middle age, then you probably won’t be able to spend any free time following your passion either.
