Help Viralogy pitch to investors and achieve funding!

by Jun Loayza on January 26, 2009

Viralogy just entered a competition sponsored by Vator.tv and The Funded where the top 10 companies get the opportunity to pitch to investors and the winner receives funding!

I want to thank you so much for following my blog and the team’s journey to build a successful internet company.  If we are able to achieve funding, then we’ll be able to complete the website and become the platform that optimizes the way bloggers and companies interact online.

What we will do with the funding if you help us win

The funding will go towards the following resources and objectives:

  1. Server costs (can potentially reach $2,000/month within 6 months)
  2. 1 – 2 Full-Time developers
  3. 1-2 Full-Time sales people
  4. Apartment office (lets get the team together!!!)

Why you should help us win the competition

Our goal with Viralogy is to help bloggers showcase their personal brands and to connect bloggers to relevant companies that would like to sponsor them.  Here is an example of how it would work:

Albert has a passion for cars and has a car enthusiast blog called AutoAlbert.com (completely made up for this example).  Albert has been doing everything the “right way” and has built a strong community through commenting on other blogs, connecting with people on Twitter, and guest posting on large automobile websites.

Albert signs up for Viralogy and is ranked as the #15 automobile blogger in the world!  The Viralogy community takes notice of his achievement and he is able to use the Viralogy rank to meet other automobile bloggers that are as good or better than him.

Ford decides that it wants to sponsor an automobile blogger for the launch of its new car.  Ford uses Viralogy to search for top automobile bloggers and reaches out to the top 20 automobile bloggers.  It is then up to Albert to prove that he should be sponsored by Ford and get paid to do what he loves.

Hey, I know I’m late on this… but I voted back when you tweeted about this. :) (I’m just late at getting around to my RSS feeds). If you’d like, feel free to e-mail me your server needs. I can maybe help out with your tech needs depending on what you’re looking for. :) (If I can’t, I may be able to find someone to help out) Heck, I might be able to help you find tech/sales guys too. Definitely shoot me an e-mail if you have a few minutes to spare.

Oh, and keep us updated on the results. :) Thanks!

Hm, I just posted a comment but I don’t think it went through, so I’m trying again. Shoot me an e-mail on your server needs, I can talk with you about that and maybe help out (I’ve got a lot of experience under my belt, to say the least). I might also be able to give you tips on finding tech/sales people.

PS. Don’t forget to let us know about the results of the voting :)
