Gosh I love the Game

by JunLoayza | View Comments |

Gaming… every guy wants to be able to “game” a girl. What could be more appealing to a guy than to be able to get any girl that he wants, no matter what his physical appearance may be. Every time a man sees a beautiful women, the first thought that pop into his mind is that he wants to get with her. Even though a man is in a relationship, he can’t help to think about what it would be like to take this other beautiful women to bed (Now I know some of you ladies may think that this is cheating. I completely disagree with your version of cheating but will save that convo for another time). This is why I love it when someone else has just started reading the game. Ian actually started reading the game and provides some great insights and questions about the social interactions between men and women.

What I want to talk about are the myths of the Game.

Myth #1: Any man can get any woman

I’m sorry to tell you this but you cannot get every girl you want. I am a strong believer that women are looking for comfort and security from a man. However, physical appearances still play a huge role in the attraction game. If you’ve ever watched The Pick Up Artist on VH1, you know that the final two contestants were the best looking of the group. They gathered a group of about 12 people to start with, and one by one, they eliminated the less attractive men until only the two best looking were left.

Another great example is to take a look at Neil and Mystery and really think about their situations. Mystery writes about being super dorky, tall, pale, thin, and unattractive to women in the past. But now with his “Game”, he is able to get any girl he wants. Now, I don’t want to knock any of Mystery’s or Neil’s methods of attraction because I’ve used them and they work, but lets be honest here, If you see a 6 foot something dude in a top hat who can do magic, you will definitely be interested and intrigued. This is the Game that Mystery has developed and it works so well for him. But what if Mystery was 5 foot 3. Would he still be able to pull the same girls that he does?

Same deal with Neil Strauss. He is an accomplished writer who was constantly on the road following rock stars and living the rock life with them. Would Neil be able to pull the woman that he gets without having that entertainment industry background?

Myth #2: The Game is flawless

Every person who has tried to Game will tell you the same thing: The Game is a numbers game. Every girl will not fall for your negs, IOI’s, or gambits. Your ROG (Return on Gaming) can greatly be improved by your physical appearance. Dressing nice is always a plus, but your actual appearance plays a HUGE role if the girl will choose to talk to you. So again I go back to my point that not every guy can get any girl.

Myth #3: I must copy every method used in the Game for it to work

Do you know what pains me the most after the show came out? So many of my friends are getting hit on left and right by some guy with the “Can I get a female opinion” opener. They don’t understand the true beauty of the Game. You must take the concepts of the book and apply them to your everyday life. Negs are a perfect example. Negs do work on every girl. They absolutely love it; however, don’t use the same negs that they used in the book or in the show. You’ll just end up looking like an ass.

Take the concepts of negging, IOI’s, and gambits and formulate your own game. If you’re not an 8 yourself, then you will most likely not be able to get a 10. However, you will be able to get girls at your level of attraction much easier.

I actually made the mistake of taking one of the Negs right out of the book. A girl actually called me out and said “Don’t neg me!” I was so surprised that I had no idea what to say after that. I walked away in shame… but I did go to another girl, tried the same thing, and it did work for me. So again, it is a numbers game.

I would love to hear your experiences with the game and how it has worked, or not worked for your. If you’re a girl, have you ever called someone out who tried to Game you?

Although I agree with what you’re saying here, I’m not sure these are really “myths”. I do think that Mystery could achieve similar results if he were shorter, he’d just have to work harder. It’s like anything else: some people are born with certain advantages and they have to work less at compensating for them. Of course, those that are shorter have to compensate with hard work… or a nice car ;)
Also, in the seduction community, these guys talk about getting a girl “in state”. Sounds kind of creepy, but we all do it to each other. It’s when everything else in the bar disappears and the only thing you can focus on is the other person. It’s honestly a GREAT feeling! The Game and seduction depend on one’s ability to get his/her “target” in state. Once the target falls out of state the whole game changes. Therefore, it’s more realistic to say that someone practicing the game can get any girl in-state, but I do agree it may be difficult for some to keep a “high caliber” (aka - high maintenance) girl for the long haul.

Anyway, just my humble opinion. In any case, Neil Strauss is the shit.

I was thinking about reading Strauss’ book, but was he the one involved with that NLP stuff? That seemed like such bullshit. I’ve heard some audio books by David DeAngelo (stage name). His stuff is pretty good too.

NLP (neuro linguistic programming) is supposedly “real”. Whether it’s true or not is debatable. However, there is this guy on TV that is very entertaining called Darren Brown: http://youtube.com/watch?v=3Vz_YTNLn6w

Another person who actively practices it is Chris Angel. I think his stuff is pretty legit. He has said so himself that he is “not a magician, but an illusionist.” He looks for subtle changes in body language and uses words to influence the mind in certain ways.
